Breeders who attended the judging seminar at Chris Medlicott’s farm during June had a very informative day as he discussed his methods and processes when judging animals at a show.  Below you can see a combination of videos taken randomly during the seminar. Unfortunately the video cards had all run out before Chris went over the things to look for from one end of the sheep to the other, so we will get those added to the Judging Tips page at a future seminar.

The Southdown Sheep website now includes a document library where you can access, download and print forms that you may have misplaced such as Ram Registration and Annual Returns. We hope to add more as they become available.

The Annual South Island Ram Fair will be held this Thursday 13th January in Christchurch, where the usual high standard of Southdown rams will be presented.

Results from the Southdown section of the Fielding Ram Fair held on Dec 8th 2010 can be seen below.
